From November 1, 2024, to December 31, 2024, Nwe Organization successfully implemented the P.A.S.S.I project in Halabja in collaboration with the Women Empowerment Organization, Intersos, and Cesvi, with support from the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS). The project aimed to protect and support the social inclusion of violence survivors in Kurdistan while raising awareness and addressing the root causes of violence.
Project Activities:
Awareness Posters: Six awareness posters were created in English, Kurdish, and Arabic and shared on social media to educate communities about different types of violence and the support available for survivors.
Award Event: An award event was organized in Halabja as part of the 16 Days of Activism campaign to highlight efforts in combating violence.
Psychosocial Support Sessions: A two-day Psychosocial Support (PSS) session was held for women and girls in Halabja to provide emotional and mental well-being support.
Awareness Video: A one-minute awareness video was produced, featuring messages from community leaders to encourage collective action in ending violence.
