Qarib is a regional project that supports media outlets in Jordan, Lebanon, Iraq, and Palestine to strengthen social cohesion and promote public debate among diverse communities. In Halabja Governorate, the project is implemented by Dangi Nwe Radio with the support of the French media development agency CFI (Canal France International) and funded by the République Française and AFD (Agence Française de Développement). Through this partnership, the project enhances the role of local media in addressing key social issues and encourages inclusive, community-driven storytelling.
The objective of the project is to address pressing challenges in the region, with a particular focus on women’s rights, youth empowerment, environmental protection, and combating extremist ideologies.

- Preparing news, radio features, video stories, and photo stories in Halabja Governorate.
The project is implemented in Halabja Governorate, located in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. It primarily targets local journalists from Halabja Governorate. Additionally, the project highlights the voices of women, youth, and farmers in the community by covering their stories and concerns through various media formats. The general public also benefits by gaining greater access to accurate, engaging, and socially impactful media content. The project is scheduled to run from January 1, 2024, to December 31, 2025.
