From January 26, 2025, to March 26, 2025, with the support of the Canadian Embassy in Erbil, Nwe Organization successfully implemented the Amplifying Women’s Voices: Empowering Women in Media to Advocate for Their Rights project. This initiative aimed to empower 50 women and girls in journalism and digital media by enhancing their skills, increasing representation, and creating job opportunities.
Project Activities:
Theoretical Training (5 Days):
The following topics were covered:
– Introduction to media: Is it a temporary hobby or a permanent career?
– The importance of women’s participation in the media.
– Journalistic Writing.
– Media coverage of violence against women.
– The impact of new technologies on media workers and the bidirectional role of artificial intelligence.
Practical Training (5 Days):
– Hands-on sessions on audio and video production.
– Writing reports and news articles.
– Producing media content, including short documentaries and interviews.
– Creating and managing media platforms (e.g., social media pages).
