From January 1, 2021, to December 31, 2021, Nwe Organization, with the support of World Day of Women Organizations and WADI, successfully implemented the Increasing Women’s Rights Awareness and Economic Independence in Remote Areas of Kurdistan project. This initiative aimed to empower women in the villages of Halabja by enhancing their awareness of their rights and promoting economic independence.
Project Activities:
Awareness Seminars for Women and Men: Nwe Organization conducted seminars for women, girls, and men in remote areas of Halabja Province to discuss women’s rights.
Legal Awareness on Domestic Violence Law: The project focused on educating participants about Law No. 08 on combating domestic violence.
Health Awareness Sessions: To ensure community well-being, participants received guidance on protecting themselves from COVID-19 and maintaining overall health.
